After failing to host because of a missing plugin (for example the WWII units) the TCP/IP socket is not closed, and any floowing attempt to host will fail with an error message.
Can you elaborate more on this - how exactly are you able to host with a missing plugin anyways - do you mean missing the tagset which a map requires? It would greatly help if you gave you us specific steps needed to reproduce this problem.
i've found that when i'm hosting on tcp/ip and have a mesh fail to load (sending me back to main screen) i cannot rehost until i restart myth, if not my whole computer.
this may be what martin is talking about, and my thanks to him for reminding me of this.
I believe Iron fixed this for PB#2, which will be out real soon now. Though the fix was for a different problem, but it changed how things are handled when a plugin is missing.
