Coop in TFL?

Post by Jamezilla »

I tried playing a single player maps game in the most recent version of TFL, and I can't figure out how to give units to the other players. It'll start with all units assigned to one player, which sorta defeats the purpose of coop.

Select units and press \

By the way, you can play all the TFL maps in Myth II if you download the TFL Multipack and The Fallen Levels plugins from this website.

So how do you play Myth 1 & 2 coop? Sorry for the daft question but I don't really follow the modding community, so haven't the foggiest.

Host a network game or a game on an online server such as playmyth.net or marius net, load the plugins that you wish to play co-op (if any, you dont need to do this if you just want to play an original solo-campaign mission co-op), then check the box that says 'Use single player levels' in the top left corner of the option screens, select the level you wish to play (shift-clicking on the check box will display all levels, then start the game. Then use '\' to detach units to other players in the game if you are the team captain

If you want to play co-op maps other than the solo levels supplied with the game, you'll need to download and install the plugin ( /plugins/ folder inside the game's installation folder). You should get an account from http://Playmyth.net as Mariusnet isn't used very much for Myth these days.

Sorry, I'm a Escape Velocity fan.

You can actually play TFL on PM.net if you don't want to buy M2...not many people play it these days...but for the original, true experience, you gotta play TFL.

Nova > Original
Funnily enough, because Grayswandir reminded me of it I just downloaded Nova off Ambrosia's site. Are there many limitations with the unregistered version? I remember Captain Hector all too well!
