Collection References & Global Tint

Post by Phex »

Hello!

I have a map with a dark ambient color and therefore a dark global tint. Now some strange behaviours occur:

1) Some units dont get tinted at all, their collection does not change so they look much too bright on the map. This happens with the Forest Giant and the Chimera Wasp units for example, other units are tinted correctly.

2) Some ghost units do dont change their collection tint according to their collection reference, so they dont look like ghosts, they look like normal units. This happens with all of the TSG Elf units for example, other units are changed correctly. I have heard rumors that their collection may be 'locked' for some unknown reason.

What can I do to fix these ridiculus problems?

Thanks,
Phex

These two things are actually the exact opposite of each other. Go into your collection reference and hit the "Tint Color" button. You'll see the range of colors, and also a box that says "Uses Global Tint." The units experiencing problem #1 do not have Global Tint checked, but should. The units experiencing problem #2 do have Global Tint checked, but shouldn't. Global Tint means the units will take on the tint of the map; therefore, any tint you give them manually will not work.
