Ok... Ive got two duplicated monsters, the only difference between the two is that they carry two different projectile groups in the ammo slot. But I want them to also carry the same pistol artifact. So I took off the "Monster Restriction Tag" in the pistol, and it messed up my sequence for both monsters. They still shoot the pistol but its looks really stupid, and I can set the sequence to "flower pot bits" and it doesnt change the sequence at all, it seems to be stuck on a flinch sequence or something. What is happening?
If you're setting it in the window you get when you hit the Sequences button, that won't work - that window just sets the artifact's status bar icon.
If there's not monster restriction tag, you won't be able to set an attack sequence in the attack override window, because any unit can pick it up. I'm not sure how, or if, you can set an attack sequence in this case. It might be the sequence of whatever attack it replaced in the Monster tag...anyone with more Fear experience know this?
I did an experiment where I made the '13 Magic Weapon' artifact have no monster restriction, and gave it to a dwarf, bowman, warrior, and berserk. The warrior, dwarf, and berserk used their main attack sequences, and the bowman used his knifing sequence half the time and flinched the other half...?
Have you checked to make sure the attacks in the monster tag are set correctly?

Well see there is no attack sequence in the monster tag for the pistol, its all in the artifact override. So yea seems to be some code in the collection maybe.
There is a trick I use to get an artifact attack sequence to what I want it to be, by switching the artifact collection in the artifacts folder to the monsters collection, selecting the sequence I want, then switching back over to the artifacts collection, and it sometimes works. But in this case, I can only get one sequence (a lame one) when theres no monster restriction.
