What would it take to have someone else finish dropped projs

Post by Horus »

Specifically I'm talking about "The Siege of Or'Garnen", and "The Battle for Urbarahz".

Why is it other Magma members haven't taken up the torches for those two projects?

Last I looked TBfU was in pretty good condition, and allot of the work was done...

And TSoO from the Screens looks pretty advanced, so why is it neither of these have been picked up by other Magma members and finished?

My understanding is that they can't pick up Or'Garnen because Khellek's script boggles their minds. And Teepens (or TJ? can't keep them straight) posted sort of recently about continuing Urbarahz, which I really hope gets done--I'm looking forward to that more than anything, including LoE.

Teep's said it a few times - I think each time we edge closer to it being done.

SF2 I am far more eager for than any other plug ever, but we all know Oz is doing what he can.

Every time I see this thread's title, it makes me think of proj tags.

Dwarf: "Hey, I'm looking for my dwsc. Has anyone seen a dwsc?"
Warrior: "Ah, here it is. You seem to have dropped it. Let me get it for yBOOM!!!

Wait, those are stalled projects?

Crikey!

I thought I had amazing new plugins to look foreward to on the near horizon. Why did you have to crush my dreams? :(

I mean, Laws of Evil has been in development a quarter of the time Duke Nukem Forever has been in development, Special Forces 2 continues to lie in Limbo, Siege of Or'Garnen - well knowing Khellek his computer will be stolen again, and Urbaharahz- I don't know what to think of that.

It's hard to finish a labor of love for a fan community of 500.
I decided to look up in the sky, and lo and behold there was a BoB. I stared at him, and he stared back. There was silence for a great while until he said in a thunderous, booming voice..."Okay, Okay, DON'T Frogblast the ventcore."

Well since Mazz 5 (or was it 6 that uses LoE units) was in developement, Khel had decided to redo the models to a higher quality (that and the fact he didn't trust anyone else to do LoE scripting...).

Cobalt 7 wrote:Special Forces 2 continues to lie in Limbo,
It's not in limbo, it's the only project listed that is still in active development (oz is working on the chopper transport stuff atm).

Cobalt 7 wrote:Siege of Or'Garnen - well knowing Khellek his computer will be stolen again,
I did tell him to not have his computer sitting in full view of the front window...

I've seen I think the last dev build of that, with alittle work it could be finished.
