Actually, Ambience is a dinky little app i am writing in response to this post. All it does is let you change the sounds of sequences.
I'm way too lazy to write a full amber clone. Sorry if I got anyone's hopes up.

I think i'll be able to upload a version tonight. It is ugly, fails silently, and all sorts of nasty stuff like that. But it does work. As should have been expected it didn't just compile on the PC and I had do a bunch of changes to get it working. You can grab it at http://tain.totalcodex.net/items/show/ambience-pc.
