Use Extended
Use Extended
i was looking for the 1.4 fear future of 'is skittish flag, and found it on the new fear manual.
Use Extended (NEW) - This was formely the unused Is Skittish flag. Now it is used to define whether any of the following flags are used for this monster. These flags use the Grass, Desert and Sloped Terrain Costs to store their values, so unless those terrain types are checked as passable (set speed to zero if you don't want the unit to walk on them) then you won't be able to use these flags...
however, it fails to tell you what each of these flags' NUMBERS are or which terrain they are used for. are they used differently now??

Muhammad is the most common given name in the world. Chang is the most common family name. There are, however, very few people named 'Muhammad Chang.'
My understanding is that checking one or more of the items under "Use Extended" will set the corresponding numbers in those terrain entries.
In other words, you don't have to mess with the numbers at all - just check the settings you want under "Use Extended". Then if you decided to look under Terrain you will see the numbers in those unused terrain entries, but you don't have to adjust them manually.

Baak is correct. When we originally introduced the extended values, we didn't have the knowledge/ability/time/gumption to extend Fear's user interface, so as a quick hack we put the unused Terrain Costs field to use.
Now of course you have all those gorgeous Extended checkboxes to use, so the terrain entries are of academic value only.

Ouch ok. I've been out of the myth development loop for quite some time, but I was under the impression that the newest mac fear had everything that the pc version had, and even more in some cases. Sorry that's not the case :\Floyd wrote:lol my bad iron, i meant fear.
and im on mac, so that sucks about the check box
