Hey All--
Looking for quick feedback on my new map readme I whipped out. Tried to make it short and sweet: Triskelion Readme
Comments welcome.
(other than the "EULA Argument" that's been rehashed a zillion times...)
New Map (Triskelion) Readme - Feedback Please
Re: New Map (Triskelion) Readme - Feedback Please
Wow, nice looking, informative AND concise readme!Baak wrote:Hey All--

My only comment (other than "I got mentioned in a readme - w00t!") would be to note that on a 17" 1280x1024 flatscreen (windows) display, the "Dedicated to: " paragraph is really teeny tiny. I am guessing it's all but invisible on my Mac (I'll check this eve)
Interestingly and coincidently, after previewing this post I noticed the size of the 'is really teeny tiny' text above (which is the smallest the forum allows) actually looks pretty close to the size of the paragraph I was talking about.
Lots of Myth stuff at http://mythgraveyard.org.
Sometimes I put hard to find stuff in my my Udogs folder.

Thanks guys!
Ah, the mystery of the teeny print is solved! Thanks, VR! I couldn't figure out why that was not adjusting the way I originally planned and after you mentioned it here I realized I was getting the dreaded "combined %'s problem" via CSS, namely:
"smallprint" font set at 72% but accidentally inside paragraphs set at 82%, thus ending up with 0.72 x 0.82 = 0.59, which is a bit too small.
I've adjusted it back to match the EULA print size and also removed some redundant text from that area. Hopefully this is more easily read.
Think I'll go with this basic format for my other maps/plugins. Thanks again for the encouraging feedback!

Looks good. The very picture of a modern myth map readme.
In fact it looks so good I want to steal the design for my own webpages.

I've been trying to get a good balance of information and readability forever - seems like I'm at least getting close. Amazing how hard it is to get the right balance!vinylrake wrote:Looks good. The very picture of a modern myth map readme.

It's fine with me to use the design/layout, just drop a little credit line in there somewhere that includes Baak and orderofhpak.com and it's fine by me.
