Installing Myth II on tiger

Post by juanc01 »

A quick search in the forum did not give me what I was looking for. I have tiger installed on my computer but no OS 9 folder. I would like to install Myth II from my total Codex set, but i can't do that, because i do not have OS 9 installed.

So my quesitons is:
Without installing OS 9, is there anyway I can install the OS X updates for Myth II. Or for Myth TFL for that matter.

Help is apprieciated, and sorry if this has been answered before.

You can install both TFL & M2 from CD by just copy the plugin, tag & cutscene folders from the CD to a folder on your hard drive and then use the TFL 1.5 or M2 1.6 update. There is one extra file that gets copied that you will want to remove. If I remember correctly it's called "Networking Only" which was so you could play Myth at a LAN party without everyone having a CD. Just delete that file and you should be good to go.

Download 1.5.1 here:

http://tain.totalcodex.net/items/show/myth-ii-1-5-1-mac

It comes with an Installer that will install off the CD. THEN, update to 1.6 using:

http://tain.totalcodex.net/items/show/m ... 6-mac-os-x

I tried this and 1.5.1 installed correctly, and it runs. but 1.6 won't install, and says it cannot find all of the required patches

It's not an installer. You have to put in the files manually. There should be a text document telling you what to do...
