Ghol pussing
Ghol pussing
Is there like, some kind of ghol-puss tutorial out there somewhere. I swear, I can't figure this out. Everyone else seems to have it down easy. Their pus explodes on contact every time. Me? I can only make it do that once in a while and it SEEMS to be luck. Would like to enhance my game, but I've experimented and just can't get it down.
Yea when healed, a wight will drop a bunch of body parts. There are two large pus packets per wight that can do major damage when thrown or exploded. The rest of the pieces are much smaller, and can only be used to stun 1 unit (no radius), which has its uses but is generaly not very effective. So when you are unit trading for pus ghols, get 1 wight for every 2 ghols. You could browse the mything.org articles, they have a bunch of strategy tips and stuff that might be helpful, but dont believe everything you read there...
I just collect the info wherever I can find it, so some is going to be more useful than others - but if you come across something at the graveyard you think is incorrect, I am happy to post rebuttals or alternative views.Fury IX wrote:You could browse the mything.org articles, they have a bunch of strategy tips and stuff that might be helpful, but dont believe everything you read there...
There are several basic ghol usage articles/guides in the graveyard, here is an article that goes a bit beyond the basic pus attack.

Lots of Myth stuff at http://mythgraveyard.org.
Sometimes I put hard to find stuff in my my Udogs folder.

I've noticed now and then the puss won't explode, usually because it doesn't bounce enough. Sometimes the puss explodes on the first bounce. Those are the best. Sometimes it takes two or three to get it to go boom and sometimes the puss doesn't bounce a third time.
Also, yesterday I had a guy on Killing Grounds throw a dud mortar round at my three hero heron guards, followed by a puss packet. It took all of them down to red. Can't imagine what would've happened to just a regular group of warriors.

mortars are allways duds - they're not meant to explode on impact. They can however be set of my explosions, much like satchels can.
The reason it seems like the more they bounce the more they explode is because on each impact they have a chance of exploding... so if it duds on the first impact and bounces it has another chance to explode, as apposed to dudding and not bouncing

Yeah it is 40% for a pus packet. Dwarf bottles have 75% chance of exploding on each bounce. Well actually a bit less when you account for the 10% chance in that 75% to become an unlit bottle. People must assume pus detonates as often as bottles.Baron LeDant wrote:I think its like a 40% chance of exploding on each bounce.
