welcome me i'm new! / best downloads for solo play?

Post by danimal »

man, i'm excited to be back in the myth II world. it's been YEARS! i can't believe people are still playin this game. now that my girlfriend dumped me i have plenty of time to get reacquainted with my old friends (video games and porn).
anyway, i'm kinda rusty so what are some good single player levels for me to download and practice on before i try to get back into the mix???

I don't think solo levels really prepare you for multiplayer, as in solos you usually have a larger force newbie rushing you, which is rarely the case in multi where you have to be a lot more subtle. So ... my suggestion would be to just grab an account on mariusnet.com and dive into the action.

Btw there's tons of good solo levels around, just that I struggle to remember many of them ;)

I agree with Iron... just be sure to tell people that you are new and ask for advice and you will be fine.

There are a lot of good solo/coop maps collected at the Myth Addicts site. There are lots at The Tain too.

If you are looking for reviews or info about solo maps, you can read descriptions of the maps they have for download at The Tain, or you can read about even more solo maps at mything.org.
Lots of Myth stuff at http://mythgraveyard.org.
Sometimes I put hard to find stuff in my my Udogs folder.

Playing Willow Creek on Legendary one hundred times will get you in shape for multiplayer.
