Myth to Marathon?

Post by Khadrelt »

There are several plugins that port Marathon characters to Myth, but does anyone know of anything that goes the other way around? A long, long time ago I put Soulblighter and Alric into Marathon just for fun, but I've lost it and don't feel like doing it over...but if someone else ever did something similar it would be nice. The sprites were reaaallly pixelated and crappy, but fighting Soulblighter in first person was kind of cool.

Sounds pretty cool but wouldnt the sprites not work well in the first person marathon engine because myth is like isometric?

Would be pretty cool though I have to admit, to have some kind of coop marathon engine game with myth characters in big assed first person battles.

Why hasnt this ever been done in the 10 years...we kind of have a lot of Uber vet marathon modders around heh.

Like I said the sprites didn't look too great, but mostly just because they were smaller than the normal Marathon sprites and therefore were a little blurry at full size ingame. It was still kind of cool, though. The isometric sprites were hardly noticeable, really - just like how the Marathon sprites still look okay in Myth.

Ha, ha. A jab worthy of a kindergartener. We already know I'm not very good at colormapping, Zeph. Give it a rest.

Typical Elitist Mac user - everyone knows all you need to make a good colormap is (windows) Paint.
Lots of Myth stuff at http://mythgraveyard.org.

haha sorry khadrelt :(

You should really improve in that area, your maps would be much much much more appealing. The gameplay is real good, but the colormap drives people away. I myself am not a very good colormapper and would love to get better.

Take it as a suggestion, not as a bitch slap

Sorry, Zeph - you came across a little snyde, and I wasn't in a good mood when I read it. I overreacted a bit, I admit.

Art isn't my strong suit. You can't even recognize my stick figures. Most of my colormaps are taken from photos and touched up a little, because if I start trying to draw on them myself you get stuff like "Said the Spider to the Fly" (hey, it was the first map I ever made, what can I say).

P.S. For the record, I've never used ClarisWorks.
