Yes. I told him of this forum, Mariusnet's forum, and the forum for the Winter Series tournament, which is still going, because it's the busiest at the moment (still is). I wanted him to know Myth was alive. I wanted him to come talk to us.

I have loved Myth since TFL appeared. Your news item at

has been floating around the Myth forums today. Did you know there were Myth forums? There are lots of active players still, and several permanent forums as well as forums that appear when tournaments are running, as The Winter Series is now ( http://tws.tribalstylemusic.net/tourney/index.php )

Two key permanent forums are
Projectmagma.net ( http://projectmagma.net/forum/ ). Many map makers as well as the folks who continue to tweak Myth (we are at 1.6 now) visit this site, as well as some general players.

mariusnet.com ( http://www.mariusnet.com/ubbthreads.php/ubb/cfrm ) -- this is what I consider to be the current home of Myth, as it is on these servers that the online community plays Myth 1, Myth 2, Myth 3 and even Marathon! These forums have recently been re-vamped in the last few months, hence the fairly low post count. Very active.

When I say very active, I don't mean that it's like it used to be in the b.net days, but many still do play. Evenings see 30-40-some people at a time.

Keep us posted at those forums. It was luck that someone ran into that announcement at bungie. There is a lot of talent in the community that you might be able to tap.

Thanks Frumius, I really appreciate your help. I have contacted project magma and marius net, and plan on getting over to the forums eventually. It's tough when time is so limited. I even sent the guy who ran playmyth an email, (think he was blades), although I haven't gotten any response.

I used to play a lot up until i started college seriously back in 2003/2004. After that I'd boot up once every other month or so, play online and then get my ass handed to me for a couple games, then get back to work.

I don't know why he'd stop at contacting the staff at either of these places, Magma or Marius, rather than post in the forums. There's a lot to tap into in the Myth community.
