The Edits Made on Twice Born

Post by Lugas »

There are edits in the mesh Twice Born which turn it into a super-coop. The most obvious one is the changes to the hints.

I want rid of these. Is there a way?

What are you talking about? Do you mean your hints show up when the level loads? I doubt that is what you mean but if so just have the "Don't Show This Dialog Box Again" box checked. But if you mean to remove the actual hints that have been added.... that is indeed impossible without altering the plugin patch files. And it is pointless to do it. Seeing as the hints don't force you to read them.

I think he means that he wants to play the original twice born without any of the extras, of which the hints are just one.. im not sure if there is a way without reverting back to an older build, i may be wrong though

To revert to the original one you will prolly have to mess up with the map scripting. I don't know shit about scripting though, so I could be wrong.

You can probably remove Patch 1.4 & 1.5 out of plugins, open Loathing and re-save the mesh. Then put 1.4 & 1.5 back in. Myth should use the re-saved mesh from your local folder.

You can play solo and it'll be just the same Twice Born as it was, but if you want to play old coop, I think you only have to make these actions not Initially Active:

PLYC.2 PLAYERS CO OP and PLYC.3 PLAYERS CO OP

If anyone is looking for this book, I have a few of these in mint condition (still in original shipping box from author). I'll sell you a mint-condition signed-by-the-author copy including shipping to continental US for less than used 'like new' condition copies go for on Amazon.com (which have additional shipping charges), but if you just want a normal used copy Amazon will be cheaper.

ps. These copies don't have the CD but all the files are available for free online. If not having the files on the CD is an issue, talk to me and we can figure out a way for you to get the files.

I thought I already did this but I guess it was the total codex CDs I had cataloged. I'll try to do this this eve. It's mostly old school M2 maps and plugs like Caer, WWII, Picket Fences, Worlds Collide, Leggo. there's a map tutorial and some other random stuff.

I don't really have anything Myth related I am looking to sell. The Myth 2 handbooks were an abberation because the only other Myth stuff I have is CDs from various M2 packages. Deathwhore was doing some housecleaning and found my mythgraveyard site and thought I might be interested in buying a box full of his Myth II Handbooks. For all I know he had 20 boxes he sold to various people - but I really couldn't pass up such a cool thing as a box of out-of-print Myth II Handbooks (I think it's a REALLY good Myth book covering everything from solo levels to multiplayer play to unit guides to mapmaking - and his humor makes it all an entertaining read) even if I never use them. (I did talk him into autographing the whole lot which I thought was cool - though also useless I know)
