very cool - when will the units be released to an adoring public?

VERY minor observation: The raptor shadows look a little large for the size of the dino.
Lots of Myth stuff at http://mythgraveyard.org.
Sometimes I put hard to find stuff in my my Udogs folder.

I did a plug called ISLE of storms where some indians fought the dinos
it was part of a big plan I had to include spanish conquistadors, mayans, a city of el dorado, etc etc
but then I started work on the greek plug and abandoned it
you can use the map too
it has some really nice beach areas and casacades....

Wow, that looked really far out. I can imagine mixing some of those units in with both normal units and other tagsets!

looks awesome. my only real criticism is to rehash the comment about the shadows, which all look like the same circular blob attached to most of the units. shadows on units in the myth engine are quite limited, but perhaps they should be shaped so that they are appropriate for the shape and scale of the units they attach to - otherwise it looks a bit warcrafty or something primitive.

otherwise, like i said, great work!

i don't know if i could tell you a painless way to do it, but for each unit you could probably take each view per frame of animation and layer them over one another in photoshop, all with the same fractional opacity. convert to greyscale and use the sliders in the levels tool to get the balance of greys about right. rotate to the correct angle and reduce the size to what's appropriate for the unit, then import and assign the greyscale bitmaps in the collection. you probably don't need too many for each unit, but enough that when the unit has moved its head from right to left, say, the shadow kind of jostles a bit.

the problem with long, narrow units like dinosaurs is that in reality the shadow would look different depending on which way it's facing, but myth is no so sophisticated as that. i'm no expert on unit shadows, but some variation on what i outlined above should get you something passable, with hopefully not too much extra effort. :)

not really... maybe just make blobs that kind of look like the central column of the dinosaur, pointing in the same direction as other unit shadow bitmaps do, and make sure they're about the right size by looking at them in myth. :P

Make sure the units are fun!

The novelty of brilliant sprite work will wear off after a few plays if the units aren't balanced and a blast to throw around. WWII first debuted with one kind of unit, grenades, rpgs, and medkits, and it arguably was the most successful third-party release ever created. Just food for thought.

What is that suppose to mean anything?

I have asked him to do something’s, but never have I asked him to something that’s really would take more than 5 min, and the things that I have asked him or anyone ells, is so I can learn from it.

I’m a total noob in PS, layers and the stuff that go's with any advance image editing.

I used paint(default program that comes with windows) most of my live.
Since I starting joining the myth modding side of live, my exp becun.

I suppose what you all sej, I have already started doing, I just thought mb there is some 1,2,3 step= wa la! or the *pro's* can tell me how they do *DID!* it.

but thanks for the come back, at least I am seeing that you all interested and im not wasting my time entirely, but even if you all don’t like it to much I LOVE DINO's!

If anyone would like to join my monkey ride to Jurassic Park, my door is open.
