Who the heck are all these guys ? This post is very recent [May 15th] and got a ton of replies. And they all seem to know Myth. But who the heck are these guys ? And why are they not over here or on marius.net ? o;

That's pretty awesome. I also saw a recent article on Myth II:

We're SA goons!

I've been here for a while now, but I've been really pleased to see the recent interest from SA -- we do play on Mariusnet, but we're still in the process of organising games and teaching new people about Mazz and all the other plugins that everyone here takes for granted. :)

Glad to hear !

A lot of people that gain/re-gain interest in Myth never know about Marius.net or the updates/magma.

PS. YOu got to look into the compatibility mode thing: you shouldn't need it!

I installed Myth II on two of my friends computers running Windows XP. One needed Win 98 compatibility mode, the other didn't. So who knows!

Were both updated to have at least Service Pack 1? I can't be sure but it is possible that the XP user that doesn't have certain updates, needs to do that to install Myth2.

Well they both worked fine.

All compatibility mode was for was the install, after that it was fine so I didn't see any sense in troubleshooting it.

Well yea I'm sure it worked fine, and I understand you didn't find a reason to troubleshoot it. I was just curious if you happen to know any of the differences between them.

Oddly enough it was the computer that he uses all the time and keeps updated. It was an error message about an InstallShield related file.

It was his secondary computer that he just uses for network gaming (to give someone else a computer to use) that didn't need the compatibility mode to install.
