PS. YOu got to look into the compatibility mode thing: you shouldn't need it!
I installed Myth II on two of my friends computers running Windows XP. One needed Win 98 compatibility mode, the other didn't. So who knows!Death's Avatar wrote:Awesome! Get them over to mnet. INJECT THE LIFE. Or something...

Well they both worked fine.Pyro wrote:Were both updated to have at least Service Pack 1? I can't be sure but it is possible that the XP user that doesn't have certain updates, needs to do that to install Myth2.
All compatibility mode was for was the install, after that it was fine so I didn't see any sense in troubleshooting it.
doctor, tell your friends about Myth World Cup 2008! The Ten Year Anniversary of MWC!

Oddly enough it was the computer that he uses all the time and keeps updated. It was an error message about an InstallShield related file.Pyro wrote:Well yea I'm sure it worked fine, and I understand you didn't find a reason to troubleshoot it. I was just curious if you happen to know any of the differences between them.
It was his secondary computer that he just uses for network gaming (to give someone else a computer to use) that didn't need the compatibility mode to install.
