Where can I even buy this game anymore?

Post by gregl26 »

Hey guys. My favorite gameplay moments of all time happened with this game. I was just fondly thinking of one then did the ol' google thing and imagine my surprise; people are still playing. Now that I know ppl are still enjoying Myth I have just one question. Where can I even buy Myth I,II, and/or III?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Legally? Ebay is the best way to go.

It IS available new, but what do you care?

Best bet if you like the whole series is to get Myth: The Total Codex. That has Myth, Myth II, and Chimera (the official Myth II solo expansion) as well as all the other multiplayer expansions that were released for Myth II (though they are never played! I hate that!). It's Mac AND PC compatible too, which is good.

Myth III...I'm sure you can get it somewhere. Only way to get it as a standalone. I think it's a Mac OR PC CD that you buy, certainly mine are.

In Poland you can get some box that has all 3 games in it, but nowhere else.

Speak for yourself. If you are talking about multiplayer ffa/team maps, then 3rd party maps are played _all the time_ . 3rd party solo/coop expansions are played less frequently online (mazzarin's demise is a notable exception), but they can be played solo so they don't HAVE to be played online. e.g. Not seeing them on mariusnet is not a good indicator of whether anyone is playing them or not, it's just an indication of whether anyone is playing them COOPeratively online.

I for example play Solo/coop maps a _lot_, but rarely on mariusnet because I often don't have the time to commit to finishing a level in one sitting... I need to save the game and resume it on another day, which is hard to do when you are playing with other people.

Trust me VR, you HAVE the time. You just choose to spend it reading/making forums posts instead of playing with other people online maybe? ~8^)

I meant the official plugins Bungie released like Seven Phoenix Rising. I know third party ones are palyed all the time.

Actually Ren, no I don't.

You have no idea what my time is like, or what else I am doing when I am writing on the forums.

You are making the assumption that whenever I post online I am sitting at a computer that I could play Myth at.

bzzzzzt!!!! wrong answer. But thanks for playing.
Lots of Myth stuff at http://mythgraveyard.org.
Sometimes I put hard to find stuff in my my Udogs folder.

I spent the entirety of the last 2 years of school posting on forums during ICT (Information Communication Technology aka computers). I just got my A level results, and I got a solid B.

ok, for some reason I thought you were saying _I_ was related to ICT. Probably just a reaction to it sounding like ICP(Insane Clown Posse).
