Myth II will not play.

Hello every one.

I have just dug up an old copy of Myth II and decided to have a play, but I have come across a problem and I was wondering if any one could help?

I can install the game fine, but when I try to play the game an error message comes up with the words,

Myth???????????????????????????????????????????????????

So what’s up with that? Then I installed your 1.6 patch. Fine no problems but when I try to run the game I don’t get the error message but instead nothing happens at all. But the game is still running something because when I try to uninstall myth II I get a message saying that MythII.exe is in use. Yet it does not show up in task manager? Any one know what I should do?

Please post your myth_log.txt from after running the 1.6 executable. Is the copy of the game and the OS both English?

Are you using the Classic build of 1.6?

Are your graphic drivers up to date?

If you are running Windows 2000 and up, then the Windows Modern build of 1.6 is what you use unless it gives you issues. Windows Classic is for older Windows OS's and for systems that don't take the Modern too well.

Thanks guys, i had to use windows classic for some reason, still loads a bit slowly but i can play now. thanks for all your help.

Maybe update your graphics/video card. There might be a reason it loads slowly.
