OmniPatch

Post by GodzFire »

Was cleaning out my Myth 2 folder and found my OmniPatch is from 2003 and still PowerPC. So I do a Google search to find the most recent version, and find it at Apple's site. However, notice something special?

I realize it may be a function of WHEN you updated the software last, but I just want to thank you for releasing software that will run under 10.2.8. Lately it seems that everything I see needs 10.4.x+ or newer.

Does it actually work on 10.2.8? :P

EDIT: It probably doesn't and that info is wrong. :( I think 10.2.8 doesn't understand Universal Binaries...

ARHGGGGGGGGGGH!

Fortunately I save everything so I must have an older version that will work... I am sure I have used OmniPatch in the past.... I must have....

Golly, vr. Well, at least 10.2.8 still supports... Classic! Who0T!

Actually, there is a lot to love about OSes 9, 8, 7, 6.... my computer self grew up on those things.

Yes, there are several selves. Gotta go, in fact -- they're calling me.

Don't we have those older programs archived away somewhere on HL ?? At the very least, I'd think Fe might still have older versions stashed away?? I believe omni-patch was his Baby, though I'm not sure if he did the Mac side as well ??

I might have the older ones as well if they aren't on udogs somewhere.

Even though I run on a PC, I keep the Mac stuff whenever possible. :)

Sorry, I have no old mac versions :\

Perhaps we should make a friendly UI & mac/windows binaries for xdelta instead, as unlike omnipatch its actively maintained...
