And in conclusion, Gray can do everything. No, really.

I saw that this thread had been updated, and I was like, "Sweet, more screenshots!"

Right. Anyway, here's another. Because it took me this long to realize that the final boss is actually ambered, and because **I vote that no one gets to post in this thread ever again without a screenshot or a direct response to a screenshot.**

Credit goes to Souly for all the newer models you've been seeing, and to Plague Bearer for the Crossbowman.

I saw a handful of changes when I last checked your finaltagset or whatever it was called a couple of years ago. actually was being generous because I only remember noticing a couple of changes but there was no readme or documentation so as I already said here (or elsewhere - I forget which conversation) I might have missed some changes - but yes, I only noticed a couple of units had been changed.

And no I don't care if you make 50 versions of something, it doesn't mean you added 50 new things, it just means you made 50 changes. I could for example make 50 changes to this post, that doesn't mean I am a prolific or good writer. I could for example insert an extra space ' ' here, save it, then come back and delete it and save it again - ad infinitum. Walla 50 changes, nothing to show for it.
Renwood TWA wrote:and for allmost an entire year ooga lived with me and we made myth suff every other day.
All joking and jibing aside? I'd love to see some of that stuff in a plug or a map I could play.
Renwood TWA wrote:Unless you count thousands of changes as "a handfull"
see above. I was counting CHANGES I COULD SEE, not the thousands of typos and fixes you probably made in the string tags.
Renwood TWA wrote:beta test AND fix after "Final release" is a large and varied list indeed.
I dout many others have been so willing to help others.
Is this somehow related to the amount of changes you have made or why M4 hasn't been completed yet? If the answer is yes, and the reason that M4 hasn't been released yet is because you are such a nice guy you are always helping other people, then please STOP IT. Ok? Just work on M4 and let other people do their own stuff.
Renwood TWA wrote: BTW this post is not aimed any anyone or anything, its just general statements on what i have seen in the history of the myth community.
This is silly, the whole first part of your post is a reply to something I said and you use my initials in addressing me but then say the post is not 'aimed at anyone'? This is why I have a hard time believing your claims about M4 - the meaning of your words frequently diverges so far from reality I have nothing on which to base your discussion of your projects.

I am an optimist, so I still hold out hope that M4 will arrive for me to play before I die of old age or senility has taken away what feeble myff skills I've accrued in my life... but I am not holding my breath.

VR, please stop unless you are posting screenshots. There are droves of other threads for you to post point by point replies to renwood.

A suggestive background I was using for an interface once:

Hey, cool. Nice idea and nice palette, though perhaps a couple of the sub-images (particularly the bottom right two) are a bit blurry compared to others.

I'm really digging the Onyx Warlords stuff being posted- very cool. Vibrant colors/ cool units.

I'm also interested in knowing about the character units running around in those shots- I've been favoring the concept of individual characters leading units/groups in some of my project ideas- not super-powered units like Shiver or Soulblighter, but just exceptional warriors with extra abilities that share the collection of its unit- more like the Dreamrunner from Chimera.

The majority of levels in TFV have 1-3 heroes leading the regular units. We've tended to leave the main hero, Raven, out of the screenshots because he's using a stand-in--he's the one that looks like an unmodified Alric in those level 16 shots. PB made us an incredible model, but the animation isn't done yet.

The recolored Alric is the current Cath Bruig Emperor, Alric's distant descendant. The dwarf using Zeph's hammer warrior model is the dwarven thane--he hangs out in Stoneheim, but I believe according to our backstory he's the leader of all the dwarves.

No shots this time, but I'll leave flavors.

Raven:
The Monks of the Wyrd gave him a home, because mercy is their nature…they taught him to quell his rage until all that remained was dispassion and cold, silent contempt…but they knew his past, and whispered of him as the Slayer from the Shadows…

Trigalis:
A messenger arrived to inform Trigalis that the Legion’s third attempt to take Twin Bridges had failed, at the cost of over a thousand lives…to which he replied, “Then we shall try a fourth. Await my signal for the attack.â€

Gotta say, this Greek stuff is still the thing I'm most looking forward to! Fantastic things you're doing there.
Okay I got the models but now I'm too dumb to do anything with 'em
