First, this NOT lag.
White macbook 2 ghz, running osx 10.5
Sometimes playing on marius I've had 1.7 freeze for about 1-10 seconds and then start again. All sound effects give a "broken record" sort of repeating sound, and nothing in the interface responds to any key command. This had made me lost a lot of games recently.
Fixes?
1.7 - Freezes
Re: 1.7 - Freezes
Do you know how to reproduce this freeze? Or does it happen every game?
Re: 1.7 - Freezes
Are you updated to 10.5.7? If not, try updating and see if that helps.
Re: 1.7 - Freezes
Does your Myth log say anything?
Re: 1.7 - Freezes
Thanks for the replies.
I am running 10.5.7 right now.
Follows is my Myth 2 Log.

I get the freezing playing multiplayer and at random. I don't seem to be doing anything specifically, and I've had it on at least two maps - Proving Grounds and Grave. I might have had it on a couple of third party maps, but I can't remember if that was lag or this.
The errors happen in-game, so I'm not entirely sure if what's in the log even pertains.

Re: 1.7 - Freezes
Recently I have had this same thing happen a number of times to me as well, It isn't unique to myth 2 1.7 though. Happened to me trying to play myth 3.
Do you get a lot of errors in the console like this after it happens?
6/26/09 7:03:40 AM kernel IOAudioStream[0x41eed00]::clipIfNecessary() - Error: attempting to clip to a position more than one buffer ahead of last clip position (6ac,12fe)->(6b2,2a8b).
6/26/09 7:03:40 AM kernel IOAudioStream[0x41eed00]::clipIfNecessary() - adjusting clipped position to (6b2,12fe)
From some searching it seems like it might be an overheating problem. Not sure why it has only ever happened to me in the last month or so, but it seems the release of 1.7 was just a coincidence.
