Here is my stupid question, how do i update to Myth II 1.7

Here is my stupid question, how do i update to Myth II 1.7

First of all I dragged all the files that were in the "the put in plugins folder" into my "plugins folder" that was simple,

Now it say's Copy all files and folders in the install directory, except for the"put in plugins" to your Myth II folder. DOES THIS MEAN JUST DRAG THE REST OF THE FILES INTO MY MYTH II FOLDER? Because I do not see a folder that say's "INSTALL DIRECTORY"?

And it is still not working on 1.7.

To upgrade to Myth II 1.7 from any prior version do the following:

1. Locate your Myth II folder on your hard drive.

2. Copy all files and folders in the install directory, except for the
"put in plugins" to your Myth II folder. Answer Yes to the prompt to
overwrite any files.

3. Open the "put in plugins folder" in the install directory and copy the
contents of it to your plugins folder inside your Myth II folder. Answer
Yes to the prompt to overwrite any files.

4. Delete Bungie DNS from your Myth II plugins folder if it exists.
Delete any PlayMyth or PMI files in your plugins folder, if they exist.

6. Enjoy Myth II version 1.7!

Are you running the 1.7 Myth II instead of the other Myth II? How is it not working? Does an error occur or does it run but have some other issues? When you tried to run Myth II, what did your myth_log say? It overwrites any info each time you run Myth, Fear, or Loathing.

Can you post up a list of what is in your plugins folder?

(For the record, on MacOS if you select all items in a folder and copy all, then paste into certain text areas, like here on the forums, it'll paste out a nice list of all the names of the contents. In this case your list of plugins. No need to type each plugin name out by hand.)

(Edit: Maybe you knew that already and your method of sorting is something other than alphabetical...)

I think the wording in the instructions is not so clear. "Copy all files and folders in the install directory" actually means "Copy all files and folders from the install directory" - where "install directory" is what you unzipped. So you put everything that's in that folder into your Myth II folder. You put everything that's in "put in plugins" into your "Myth II/plugins" folder.
