What is "Patch 1.7 Templates"?

I've done a fresh install of Myth II with the 1.7.1 patch on both a PC and a Mac. On the Mac, I see a file named "Patch 1.7 Templates" in the plugins folder. On the PC, it's not there. I'm curious about the difference... what is that?

It's an update that was included for mapmakers. Many of the various new map action parameters that have been added over the years are only available through a 'custom' map action creation- the data was there in myth to read the actions, but there were no pre-set parameters to choose from in a list format like everything else. This is an update to include all those extras into the general interface menu of loathing's map action tool.

It only gets installed if you choose to install Fear/Loathing (mapmaking tools). If you don't do scripting, then you don't need it.

Just curious - are you the Johnny Law from cp# who wrote the Myth II Unit Statistics chart, and the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse unit guides?

Yup I was Plaid, and I did an M2 unit stats writeup, but the last thing you mentioned doesn't ring a bell.

Ah of course you are correct, a number of the FHotA articles listed you as a source for the material in the articles I saw your name at the top of the articles and mistakenly assumed you were the author.
