Myth3: the traitor - Help required

I'm at the last stage of Myth 3 - The Traitor.
The boss is throwing out waves of fire that I find it hard to get past.
I can hide at the foot of the cliffs where he can't reach me but trouble is, I can't rush him either.
Any help?

mm.. I have not played the original donkey kong..
anyway, I've just passed the level.
onwards to "Mighty" (medium) difficulty level!

At the same time you send one zerk/heron up west another up east, then you can send Connacht up the center to kill him

Yea, I did that, rushing my berserkers and heron guards from 3 directions. Lost about two of them

Sad thing is, the patch v1.3 does not display my old saved games and films. oh well.. the difficulty is weak, so I guess I might as well replay the game at "mighty" (medium)

Pretending you're playing the original Donkey Kong would involve a lot of jumping and hammer-wielding, which I don't believe Myth 3 units are capable of (well, ok, the Smiths have the hammer-wielding down).
