After years of attempting to recover the rest of the materials, to no avail, I have decided to finally release the Bones of Feros units and the map that went along with it. For those who dont know what it was, Bones of Feros was an ambitious project undertaken by mapmakers Gimpmask (of Stone Heart fame, as well as other maps) and SpliNe, a relatively unknown in the myth community but a friend of Gimp and a nifty 3d artist.
The Bones of Feros campaign was going to be set in a different universe/setting than Myth, and involved a race of Dwarven creatures called the Dhemori, who were at odds with goblin-like creatures called the Maghrat (I believe that is the racial term). Not all of the units are present, and unique body parts were not made for one of the goblin units, so when it dies it uses the same pieces as the other goblin unit. However, if I hadnt told anyone this im betting that nobody would have noticed (they are similar in appearance).
I was unable to obtain any of the single player maps, the Ogre unit, and a few of the Dhemori melee units. As a result, the unit list looks something like this:
Dhemori Golem: My personal favorite. A large iron golem covered in clay (I think its clay anyhow) with a furnace in its chest that it can blast units with by pressing T. The unit's death kills any living thing close to it with intense heat as it melts, and the standing dead body can be destroyed and reduced into smaller pieces MULTIPLE times, until just the feet are left standing. It's actually really neat. It's primary attack is a hammer swing, and the unit can be treated much like a trow, except slower-moving.
Dhemori Meddler: A goggle-wearing explosive-shooting engineer dwarf. I really love this guy. He fires rocket/rpg type projectiles a goodly distance, very similar to a mortar dwarf. His rounds may occasionally dud. He has the special ability to launch a special round that acts much like a powerful satchel charge - it will stick to the ground wherever it lands using spikes on the front, and can be detonated by any explosive. He has a melee attack as well, like an archer stab.
Dhemori Marshall: This is the only melee unit the dhemori actually have. I could not obtain the rest. This unit is much like a journeyman, and wields a shield and hammer. He swings multiple times per attack, so he is a useful and unique unit. He has a few heals to start with.
Maghrat melee units: There are two types, slashers and hackers. Forgive me but I forget which is which - one is a helmeted warrior type, and the other is a weaker less-armored version. These units share body parts.
There was one map (which all these units were on) that contains all of the above units, it is a very simple arena style map with a circular hill area in the middle. Not much too it, but it may have just been for testing.
Expect the units to be released on the Tain for all to use in a few days or less. I have express written permission from gimpmask, spline, and i'm pretty sure baak knows about it as well. They will be free to use for anybody who wants them.
I should have released them earlier, but I was holding out for the slim chance that Gimp might get back to me at some point. Sorry folks. Hope you enjoy them anyways.
EDIT: I tried the Wayback Machine and may have found the old website. I cannot really check it at the moment because the internet terminal im on is a piece of crap, but here's the link:

Wow, I've always wondered what became of this project. Looking forward to checking this out. Thanks, Ooga.
p.s. - I seem to recall some sort of watchtower scenery that looked like it could be climbed- is that included?

Re: Bones of Feros
Wow.
Now there's a project that I'd never expected to hear of again, let alone see it released! Last I'd heard one of the old-time mapmaking groups (TMBM?) tried to revive the project but discussions fell through & the artwork was all lost.
Ooga, you a truly a hero for bring this through to completion.
One silly question - is it actually available for download somewhere?

Re: Bones of Feros
Dreadfully sorry guys, my computer is acting up and im waiting until i can get some burnable DVDs to save my important stuff in case it goes bad.
If you guys dont mind I could upload some of my most important myth stuff to udogs, because right now i cant even get my comp to recognize a flash drive, or connect to the web (im on a shitty internet only terminal right now).
I'll post BoF on udogs soonish hopefully, I just didnt want to fry my comp - its on its lastlegs.
