Color Mapping Help

Post by Dagda »

I'm making a map for the first time and using Clem's cmapping tut to help with the cmap. I want to export the displacement of my map to use instead of the sketch clem used. Any way I can do this? I never made a displacement map for my map, I just started off with the Height Painter tool and made the map with that. I just want to export the current heights and such so I know where to put the water in my cmap.
Any help would be appreciated.

OS: Windows XP
Running Loathing 1.7.1

You can export any of the map types from Loathing. From the MAP menu choose 'displacement map -> Export' (or whatever it's called) it will save it as ann actual-size greyscale bitmap (pict i think unless it's changed).

I was able to export his dmap for him. Maybe there is a required amount of RAM to export bigger BMPs? The file turned out to be 1MB in size. Or maybe he didn't wait long enough for the file to get created.
