Heh I've worked with machines that bad and worse. The heavy smokers are always unequivocally the grossest things ever. Dust can just be blown off with a compressor and looks like new again no problem. But the nicotine goop from cigarette smoke leaves a nice sticky sheen of yellow goop on everything. It just doesn't come off.

The Apple repair people allegedly refuse to repair machines w/ smoke smell stating the computer is a biohazard.

I have refused a few machines myself. Some things just aren't work the money. But open up a door for an up sell and perhaps sound health advice ;)

Was going to say the exact same thing. Before I was downsized, the company I worked at regularly had PCs come in with cake'd on dust and dirt from being in various dirty factories. We had an air compressor right outside our workshop and it's like a brand new computer again.

Hell I even had some that started to MELT the internal components of the machine because there was such a high concentration of dirt no air got through.

Nothing quite matches realising someone has been watching SD over RCA on their widescreen plasma for 5 years with the receiver's aspect ratio set to 4:3

i think it's a tie with noticing someone is watching a 4:3 feed stretched to fit 16:9 and doesn't even realize it.
