I've read through the Fear Manual and am not clear how to do this:
I have an explosion with a blast radius of let's say 6. What I'd like is to have the damage "diminish" as you get further and further out in the radius. In other words, if you hit dead center it should be full damage, but if you get caught on the edge of the blast it should be proportionally less.
Is this where "Area of Effect" comes in?
I assume if a blast is "Area of Effect" that the damage is the same throughtout the blast radius. What I don't know for sure is that if a blast is not an "Area of Effect"-type blast, does that mean the damage diminishes as you get to the edges of the radius - just like I want?
Any and all help/clarification here is most welcome in advance.
Thanks!

Fear's area of effect question - How to make a diminishing damage radius?
This is what I want to confirm.
It appears to me that all explosive attacks are "Area of Effect". What I'm not positive about is whether the damage on these attacks is really less at the edge of the radius than the center.
I think the way it works is that the damage is the same throughout that Area.
What I need is for it to be max at the center and less as you go out towards the edges.
