Myth II Linux Beta Testing

Could I request linux beta access? I own the original linux myth2, am a Linux SA and currently the super maintainer for myth2 on wine!

That WineHQ site doesn't even list version 1.7.2 of Myth2 by the way.

Yeah I got a pm from death avater today who told me about 1.7.2 and this beta testing. I play lots of eve so I sometimes get behind adding new versions and what not.

I'm the super for a ton of old games, it can be hard work trying to keep up with new wine versions lol. This is probably the only "old" game which is still getting patched.

Is there a mail list or something with new versions?

Yeah, I told DA to message you when I found that site which seemed like a good place to notify some Linux users about the beta. As for the mailing list, we don't have one. Might be worth doing something like that at some point. When a new version is out a news post is made in the home page of this site as well as MariusNet. That is the closest thing to getting the word out we do with a few posts/attempts outside of the community.

Ah, well least we know for a fact that when theres a public beta/final release. About 4 different linux game sites I use often will be all over it so I will always know about release updates then!

Hell, once public beta, I'll be submitting that to slashdot . Such a classic game with Linux version support again. Worthy of a mention or two!

I tihnk it would be a good idea if there was a Linux version of the Myth II demo at http://getmyth.com to coincide with the Linux executable release.
