This is a rendering depicting what Myth in 3D could look like, alternating between two displaced viewing angles, I imagine Myth could internally displace and then output a 3D depiction for suitable viewing screens &/or glasses:

Don't believe the technique, well check here for something related:

Myth in 3D!
Re: Myth in 3D!
Whoa. We've joked about 3D before but that actually looks pretty awesome Maybe we should look into adding some kind of 3D support.
Re: Myth in 3D!
Cap that is very impressive, and please forgive my lack of knowledge, but technically Myth is in 3D. I think I understand what you are trying to demonstrate, but could you explain it a little more (in Myth terms would be nice).
Re: Myth in 3D!
Well myth is technically in 2D with option to view it from an arbitrary view point so you in effect can explore a "3D esque " environment, however it is NOT a stereoscopic view thereof. Our eyes, if they are both working conjointly allow us to view the world in stereo vision, aka a stereoscopic view, allowing us to achieve a perception of depth of field, aka what object is near in relation to an object that is far away.
What I have done is similar to what the pop photo article is doing, I am taking two DIFFERENT viewing angles, merging them to display a representative proof of principle stereoscopic view of the myth game.

Re: Myth in 3D!
I understand. Well if a proof of concept could be made somehow with a Myth build, I'd love to see it.
Re: Myth in 3D!
Have you tried it with NVIDIA's stereo 3D driver that tries to do that semi-automatically? Most of it might work. Just some of the UI stuff might need tweaking.
