Right, I completely understand. Why on earth would you want to give anyone money for something they've worked hard on and that will give you hours of entertainment? Why give them any money when you can just download it for free? Seriously, it's a bad idea to pay for software because if you give those developers and game companies money you will just encourage them.

It's much easier and less risky to just pay for stuff on Steam these days than to pirate them. Unless you make almost nothing at your job, you'll waste far more of your time trying to get a hacked version working - and probably end up with lots of crapware on your system for your efforts. You really prefer to spend an hour+ of your time and possibly screw up your computer to save $3? Give your own time a bit more value man

Not to mention the normal stuff of supporting the developers and actually continuing to get new games. It's not a big magical world out there where they don't need to eat and feed their families just like you...

Anyways lest not go too much further with this discussion. If you want to go pirate stuff, you're on your own. We won't entertain those discussions here. It's a huge waste of time these days though with so many options available for free and practically free games.

@Godzfire, great idea, ban me, further kill the myth community, and forever be shunned from myth. I'm more liked on myth than anyone who posts on these forums. Thing is, nobody in the real myth community is willing to actually post here to get the inside scoop and actually offer real suggestions for improving and advancing the game. I'm a huge reason myth is even still around, deal with it.
