Hey hey,
I've noticed that after I finish one game performance (framerate) in subsequent games is very bad. I'm running Gentoo with KDE as my desktop manager and an ati video card.
The camera movement is not smooth after my 1st game, but I'm not sure if the frame rate is dipping or not. It doesn't really feel like I'm dropping frames randomly, more like it's once per half sec or something.

Build 378 is the latest for the 1.7.2 Linux version. Not sure if that will make a difference but it wouldn't hurt to try.

378 did not address the issue. I still have to restart Myth between games to maintain performance.

Oh, I should note that it sometimes takes more than one game, but never more than 4.

Not much information to go on, but I can't imagine this being anything other than an OpenGL drivers issue. See if the slowdown still happens if you use the software renderer.

Sorry for going dark, my ISP blocked mnet somehow and I haven't played since April.
I tried out software rendering and the issue did not occur. With that hint, I reenabled opengl rendering but disabled vsync. Since then I have not seen the slowdown, so perhaps it's a driver issue involving vsync.
Thanks!

You could enable Max FPS (a value of 90 is more than enough) if you want to limit the FPS since you won't be using VSync.
