Fear 1.8 sound issue?

Post by paladin MAIK »

Well, once I started to brag about the fact that I have with the myth is all right ... and that's to show off.

When creating the latest "Fear", the file "sound" in the game when playing this sound begins awful screeching noise such force that they start to hurt your ears. :x

Tell me, is that I have a PC or something with the "fear"?

That is not related to 1.8. Make sure you imported the sound using the correct format. You can see the correct format in this chart.

Yep, the problem is solved, but no mono or stereo 22050 Hz did not help me.

It seems the problem of Fear 1.8, because the sound I just made a Fear 1.7.2.

And everything works well.

Oh, and thanks for the plate, Pyro, that you gave me. I learned a lot from there.

I'm confused. Is the problem fixed or is there still a problem? The first two lines confuse me.

Okay, I'll try to explain human.

When creating the sound in "Fear 1.8", I have a horrible noise coming out. I have to fix it - did not work.

I tried to create a sound in "Fear 1.7.2," in the end no noise I discovered.

Therefore: the problem lies in "Fear 1.8", since I experienced all of what you said Pyro, but I have the noise remained in "Fear 1.8" :|

I see. Julio sent me an example file. I played around with it and got the same problem you guys had. Something is wrong with Fear 1.8, but a beta of Fear 1.8 does not have this issue. For now, just import sounds using Fear 1.7.2 and edit everything else in Fear 1.8 until this gets fixed. Thanks for the report.

Why can't you use Fear 1.7.2 just to import sounds? I know it isn't perfect, but a fix might take time. I uploaded Fear 1.7.2 for Windows so that users don't have to reinstall it using the 1.7.2 update.

The sound import issue with Fear 1.8 for Windows has been fixed. You can get it with an updated build of 1.8.0 that has a few minor fixes at the Tain. Just redownload 1.8.0 and install both the updated Myth II executable and the tools.
