What happened to Pyro???
Hey fellas,
As some of you might know I've been working on the translation project and I'm almost done, so I need to have a little conversation with Pyro to solve the last problems.
However, he doesn't reply to my pm's or on the translation project forum. Is there any other programmer involved in this project who could help me?

I guess I can't even be away from Myth for a little bit without someone complaining. Don't worry, I'm replying to your message after this... unless I mysteriously disappear before then of course.

GDI KK, why did you have to make him come back? I was beginning to enjoy it...

Yeah I've sent him 3 pm's and he hasn't replied yet, so I'm guessing he is out of town indeed.
Re: What happened to Pyro???
Pyro left myth because he was starting to feel pressure and anxiety, mostly about mazzarin's demise. He revealed to me, in a private message - that he hoped the community understands his decision - but he felt he had no choice.
Apparently, he recognized a trend of mazz players to utilize ventrilo, instead of chatting in text. While some have, over time, eventually relented - Pyro insisted that he was philosophically opposed to either hearing other mythers' voices, or having his whiskey-cigarette-jazz voice heard.
Additionally, he was feeling mounting pressure by the 5 remaining people playing myth, who continually asked for him to edit the map one last time. Their requests included renaming the berserks with more "Scottish sounding" names, and removing most of the enemies from the map in a new mode called "toecutter" mode, rendering the game playable, despite being afk.

It's at least as believable as a lot of what passes for truth.Jon God wrote:I am bouncing back and forth between believing that and not.

lol Spa. Given the strange stories one reads about other Myth players around the community, that one could have fooled people if you hadn't gone overboard.
To add to that, the latest trend between Mazz players was to get on Ventrilo and not use it. Giving less incentive to get a microphone for it.
Besides, can't a guy hibernate in peace during winter! So many posts. I thought I was away for half a month, but judging by the dates on some of these posts it was a little more than one month without counting my previous hiatus in December.
