Having the same composer from title to title maintained a stylistic continuity to Bungie's work which acted as a kind of branding. It's possible they wanted to replace him as an attempt to artistically break their next title from the company's past efforts.

Martin was responsible for some of the music in Destiny.
If I'm reading it right the commercialisation format for Destiny is like one of those "build a model" magazine subscriptions where the first instalment is minimal but you have to keep buying new issues to get the whole thing. So you buy the original game without a storyline then pay $29.99 per year for ten years to get it?

The sad part is is that it's so plausible in the game industry its not like regular conspiracies..
That's the third game by my count with major hype to be a turd.
Titanfall, Watch Dogs and now Destiny. More evidence next gen was rushed.
2015 should have been the year. Then we'd have real launch titles like Halo 5, Mortal Kombat X, Arkham Knight, KH3, etc

Destiny has issues, but it's hardly "a turd". Lol. They did many many things well, but in my opinion, did nothing perfectly. That said, I've already invested something like 130 hours gameplay since release 3 weeks ago. I haven't played a game that much in years. It's highly addictive to many of us, despite some glaring issues with the story. 404Architect's story definitely sheds a bit of light on why the story is so barren. The shooting and gunplay is amazing fun though. And the Raid is properly unique for a shooter, nobody seems to be mentioning that, but it is without question, very innovative and challenging. 130 hours for 60 bucks, I've definitely got my entertainment value covered at this point and then some.
Destiny is a very troubled game. I agree with Gray in that it's a lot of fun gameplay wise, it's just a shame it has so many issues outside of that. (lore, story, amount of content, context, etc.)
