Myth won't run on Windows 7
Anybody post or link to an easy solution? When I run it, it tells me I'm out of memory and need to close programs. That's obviously not the case. I've read online that it's because I need to be running the game in Windows Compatibility Mode, but I don't know how to do that. Would appreciate the help. Just bought the game through Amazon and my cpu is too powerful to run it.

That appears to be Myth II. Would you happen to have the original Myth as well?
Re: Myth won't run on Windows 7
Go to the Tain. Click on Myth The Fallen Lords and to the right side you will see the latest updates for the game (v1.5). TFL has not been updated in years so it won't run as well as Myth2 which has been updated more often. Download and install the update and you should be able to run TFL fine. If not, post here and we could advice you on how to make it run better.
I'm on Windows 8 and I can run TFL.

Thanks. That makes the game workable. After I patch, the game boots, but if I ever restart a mission, it crashes and then I have to patch it again each time I start the game for some reason or it gives me the memory error. Still, it's playable.

An alternative is using the Myth II plugin "The Fallen Levels" which is the entire Myth TFL Campaign inside Myth II.

Go to preferences in TFL and switch to Software rendering. See if that stops the crashing.
Also, if you do go through the Myth2 route of playing the TFL campaign, enable "TFL Gameplay" to make the game act more like TFL, otherwise its like part TFL and part Myth2.

Re: Myth won't run on Windows 7
Hi,
I really like the TFL-plugin for Myth 2, but I myself prefer playing the original Myth TFL. The reason why I don't use the patch 1.5 is because graphics are messed up for me (the old texture banding problem under Opengl).
If you prefer playing the good old Myth TFL as I do, there is the wonderful little exe-file, Melekor created for me six years ago:

I'm using it myself for years, it bypasses the memory problem. I update Myth to patch 1.3 and use Nglide or Zeckensack's to emulate 3Dfx. Works like a charm on my Windows 7 computer.
