Brand new here so forgive if this has been discussed before. A bunch of friends play Myth II Friday nights on the net. I run WIN XP Pro and when I try to install the program tells me I need Service pack 3 for NT??? As near as I can find this does not exist. I not that computer savy so can someone walk me through installing this game, please?
Regards, PJH

two ways around this. Set the installer executable so its Windows 98 compatible, or run it as you do now and when it gets to that error message don't click it but instead go to Task Manager and kill the install process - all the files will be there installed and ready to go :)

Ingore the installer message about SP3, it's an error in the CD installer.

I tried several times to follow the posted instructions and got nowhere. If I ignor the error msg re. SP3 I get dumped back to the main install menu and I can find no files on my system relating to Myth II.

When I initiate the task manager I don't see any task that remotely relates to the install program so had no luck that way either.

I am not terribly computer savy so if some one would please send detailed instructions I would sure appreciate it.

After many many attempts I finally got it to install. Thanks for the advice, guys. Now how do I get the WWII and such scenerios to load and run. Also, with the large install is it normal to have to have the CD in the drive?
Thanks, PJH

Versions previous to 1.5 require the CD to be in the drive to run the game. 1.5 has removed this requirement because it's just a pain and doesn't do anything to stop actual piracy of Myth.

I just installed Win XP Pro on my machine and didn't have any trouble installing myth or running it. Still have the same problems with my graphics card, but that was to be expected.
