I voted for the Watcher, because he's the biggest badass ever. Held his breath for seven days, cut off his own arm, kept coming back over and over again. The guy is just relentless, not to mention really powerful.

Balor is cool too, but I can't quite understand why Soulblighter has so many votes. I mean, he chickened out and fled at least five times during the two original Myth games (Covenant, Forest Heart, Great Devoid, Murder of Crows, and at the end of Twice Born). The guy was a wuss. Nuff said.

Plus he (The Watcher) has a very neat and powerful hellfire attack. I grouped all of my units together in a Rabble and he used his hellfire attack and chicken korma was everywhere!

I dunno, to ME it sounds like he's a complete asshole. Soulblighter, though, he's an alright guy.

Now what about the most hated character in all of myth?

My vote goes to Rurik(â€œ...well respected by his peers and admired by the townsfolk... he is the head of the town council... many think he will be the next mayor of Willow Creek.â€). You are sent to protect an idiot that says "Oh No! The enemy!", and then proceeds to lay a kiss on a thrall. Then in a moment of personal discovery finds a thrall axe slashing his arms off. Meanwhile, you the protector of said Rurik, watching incredulously between swings at nearby undead, the stupidity of this "well respected" villager. Cursing they day you met this dumb villager, you wonder if you really failed your mission or just maybe the world would be better off with Rurik dead.

There's a reason he's called Rurik the stupid, Rurik the slow etc.

I made a map in which the bonus wave is a shitload of helpless Rurik's, one of the few things that map had going for it

We all know that Alric is the most hated character in Myth.

Cid and I have covered this topic extensively in private conversation, and I believe he made a list of reasons why Alric sucks so bad, but I'll bring it up anyway.

* Take, for instance, standing on the deck during "White Falls". What the hell, what does he think this is, a Princess Cruise??

* Crowning *himself* as autocrat of a reformed Cath Bruig administration, without so much as a VOTE.

* Balmung.

* Just last night, Cid and I were knee-deep in TFL Co-op. We're falling back because we need a bit of room to deal with some Fetch, but this stupid prick Alric backs himself up against a retaining wall or something and *lets the Thrall surround him*.

* Falling for the Head's lies. I actually have a theory about this -

(Alric is in chains in the desert, Myrdred is gloating and Balor stands in front of them).

ALRIC: I dunno what I was thinking, believing there was an impenetrable suit of armour out here... (sighs)

(BALOR points at his suit of armour and chuckles). "Right here buddy".

Anyway. My vote for 'worst' character goes to Alric. He was a bungler.
