The guys at www.the-package.net posted a new tagset I'm testing under map betas in the downloads section.
It's called "ancient greece tagset" and it has trhe trojan wars units and a couple of beta maps to test them
I would love to have feedback on it, as I'm doing a complete tagset including persian units and spartan and athenian hoplites.
Any feedback would help me perfection this units posted and finish and perfection the ones I didn't yet release.
Also if there's experienced guys interested in joining a team to do so, let me know.
thanks!

well, the most well known is the stuffit expander, that I believe you can get for free at http://www.stuffit.com/win/index.html
Then if you want something that both compresses and uncompresess files I used to use before switching to mac a program named zipitfast that now released an even better uprgrade at
http://www.zipitfast.com/
I don't know how well the new version works but the older rocked and it is totally free!

well, I started from pictures that I took from books and I went sketching 3d models in meshworks, and then importing as 3ds files to poser, and blending all the parts together in poser to animate them later and placing them in amber.
Some parts like the trojan helmet and trojan sword and trojan greaves and trojan quiver I downloaded them as 3ds files from several different 3d community webs.
Somehow I discovered today that there's some companies that sell 3d files that look awesome...sigh...I would have payed 15 dollars instead of the month and a half sitting at the computer doing 3d models...hehe
For egyptian models...I think I saw some references in jpeg to give you...
and I think I have a couple of egyptian props for poser....
let me know if I can help you.

Hey carlinho,
I just tested your plug and it was very obvious how much work you put into it. The overall impression is quite imposing and I enjoyed it a lot.
There are some points I want to mention:
1) The attack range of the spearmen doesnt seem to be realistic. It looks like they were trying to attack with their bare hands while holding the spear. I think the range has to be about 4 or 5 times longer than now. This would give them a great advantage but would also look way better (they fight like the spearmen in age of empire ).
I also think that archers need to be able to shoot much further.
2) Your archers attack frame doesnt really fit with the arrow shot or the arrow is too small. It looks strange anyhow. I also noticed arrows bouncing off the air like there was an invisible wall. Something does not work here.
3) Model textures. Altough I think your unit models are made very nicely there is something missing, they look a little synthetic. They are detailed but all the colors seem so unnatural. I am not good at texturing myself so I dont really know how to fix it. I recommend you to look at other units and compare them to yours. Escpecially your horses make me think of 'leggo' a little bit.
I hope you will try to improve it. It looks like it might become a very popular plugin in some time.
Bye,
Phex.
