I'm trying to make a new connector (a chain link fence). I made a bitmap and a new collection based on the "barbed wire" collection in the Myth II Large Install tag (the one used in Willow Creek). Basically, the new connector doesn't show up in Loathing and I can't figure out why. I do understand how connectors work in Loathing (I can make new barbed wire fences on the Willow Creek mesh), so I must be missing a tag or a setting or something with my chain link fence...

I have the collection tag, the collection reference tag, the connector tag, and I've set the connector type in the mesh tag.

Does the scenery item (e.g. the posts) have anything to do with making the connector show up properly? If the scenery piece is too short for some reason, would that make the connector not appear?

The only other thing I can think of is there must be something wrong with my collection tag. I've tried to duplicate every setting in the barbed wire collection, but I did notice that the barbed wire collection sequence has the texture checkbox checked, but in my own colleciton, that checkbox is greyed out, so I can't check it. I don't think this is related to the collection info, becuase both my collection and the barbed wire collection are the same in that respect.

If anyone has any ideas or suggestions, please let me know. Thanks!

iirc, connector collections have to be textures, same as arrows and model textures, which means that they have to have side lengths in powers of 2. try that and see how it goes.
