Hello,

I have not installed Myth 2 for a number of years, and want to go back to playing it, as I never seem to finish the single player campaign. I installed on my machine (Windows XP) and "New Game" is not available, it is greyed out along with "Saved Games" and "Saved Films". Any ideas why?

Thanks!

If your running 1.5.1, the only way you could get that problem, is if you haven't copied the contents of the Tags folder into the Tags folder in your Myth directory.

Start up the application, then copy paste the contents of the Myth Log located in your Myth 2 directory to give everyone a better clue of what the problem may be.

it sounds to me more like a net-only install (where new game and saved games are unavailable). saved films may be unavailable simply because you don't have any recordings in the recordings folder, or it may in fact be a consequence of net-only.

there are two ways you can deal with this:

1) if you feel competant, you can go into your local folder (subfolder of the myth 2 directory) and see if there's a tag in the "string lists" subfolder called "network only" (or something along such lines) and delete it if it's there. otherwise, or if this doesn't work;

2) uninstall myth 2 and reinstall it from scratch, making sure not to check the network only installation option.
