Like the ones that detailed concerns about the newest testers build etc.

Also, shouldn't we turn off guest posting to minimize the spam problems that afflicted the board a couple of months ago?

Agreed horus, there were a number of conversations that are probably worth saving. We may have to riot outside of SC's house.

So whats the deal with this cream on pumpkin color scheme?

CIK and I decided it would be best. The site has changed servers and IkonBoard isn't as secure as phpBB. The old graphics will not be added back since it will not match the new site layout.

We have the old forums archived away so that the developers may access them for reference. It wasn't feasible to export the db, convert it to phpbb, make changes so everything works, and then have to re-do it just for the sake of 5 days worth of posts. Small price to pay for improved security and peace of mind. Also, there may be some plans to integrate this forum with The Tain's forums.

Guest posting is on for a short period of time while we fully transition over to phpBB. I would like for guests to post incase they have trouble logging in or creating accounts. After a stable 2-3 weeks, guest privs will be removed. Also, bots tend to be behind with keeping up on the latest versions of phpBB, so theres a good chance we wont see any spam in the next 2-3 weeks while guest privs are on.

Hurrah. Now we can easily create a snappy response to almost anything. Also, we now see who has just registered just for the sake of being annoying or attention-seeking. That's what I thought about the guest spammers.
And on another note, there is no link to getting the full version of Myth on that new site.

i don't mind the graphics as such, but I do miss the links etc to other parts of the Magma site. Anyway its all good

I guess guest posting could be left on then unless the spam problem re-occurs, as if its more secure perhaps we have no need for the restriction at all?
