Interface for ADT

Post by Khadrelt »

Does anyone know if there's an interface plugin for the ADT interface available anywhere?

How does one create interface plugins, anyway?

I haven't seen one outside of the plugin/conversion itself

There used to be an article at mythvillage that described the process (which could only be done on a Windows comp) but I can't seem to locate a copy of it at the moment.

update: I did find a skeletal description of how to change the interface at the myth graveyard.
Lots of Myth stuff at http://mythgraveyard.org.
Sometimes I put hard to find stuff in my my Udogs folder.

Actually, its pretty easy (relative) with 1.6. My suggestion would be to extract all the pieces from an existing interface (I'd suggest TFL since it is the best out of Jinn and Chimera) and replace them with what you want.

1.6 adds some interface friendly stuff, like the interface selector, a fear "build interface" features, and fear debugging info indicating which critical dialogs are missing ( think...I might have to double check that last one).

Also, I would not extract from the main tag files, so so much has changed with 1.4 interface and 1.5. PM me if you've got any specific questions...

Thanks for the info. I managed to hack together an ADT interface plugin myself using the ADT Tagset plugin. There was a lot of stuff missing, but I just threw in those from the TFL interface. It seems to work pretty well, if a bit incongruous.
