Hello all. I recently got Myth: Total Codex and have been having all kinds of problems with it on my Windows XP CPU. I got Myth: TFL working with a patch I downloaded, but Myth 2 is killing me.
For starters, I can't do the large install. Whenever I try to tell the game to do the large install, it will install fine until the progress meter gets to 71% (always 71%) and then it will simply freeze. So I try to do the small install, which does work. Then I open the game and one of two things will happen. Either A: I'll try and start a new game, it will go through the dialogue and cutscene, but after the level load screen, it'll simply boot me back to the main menu, or B: THe level load progress meter will make it anyway between 50% and 75% and just stop dead. I've tried this with both version 1.3 and version 1.5.1 and I get the same result.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. It's just getting annoying that I managed to get Myth: TFL (an older game) to work fine but the newer one is dragging thru the mud.
