The Logo itself was not a standard font - the manuals and other official documentation did use a medievalish looking font.

This should almost be a sticky, it seems to get asked every few months.

Where can I find fonts that look 'Mythish'?

Morpheus is a shareware, medieval mythlike font.

Wolfie created a free Truetype Myth TFL stylized font: http://www.wolfiesden.com/downloads/

A couple of 'higher end' fonts that look similar to the ones used in Bungie's Myth Manual(s) that you can 'test drive' before you buy are hiroshige sans medium and Mael.

I was just about to comment on the sticky idea. This should really be part of a sticky just so that we save people the trouble.
I decided to look up in the sky, and lo and behold there was a BoB. I stared at him, and he stared back. There was silence for a great while until he said in a thunderous, booming voice..."Okay, Okay, DON'T Frogblast the ventcore."

Any "uncial" style font will look like the fonts used in Myth.

Well unless someone died and made you god emperor of Project Magma, I am guessing the reason the powers that be didn't follow your orders are either...

1) the powers that be didn't notice your 'stick this' note'
2) the powers that be noticed but didn't feel the topic was full enough of stickworthiness.
3) you forgot to say 'PLEASE stick this'.

I wonder though, what is the font used in-game? In chat text, dialogs etc? That is one very nice font indeed...

Is that the plain Hiroshige that is used in game and in Oak, or the sans variant? (I haven't kept up with font technology, so they could be combined for all I know)

Plain Hiroshige.

Myth's regular font is "Bold", Italic is "Bold Italic" and Bold is "Black". Oak also supports Bold Italic (|o) using "Black Italic", which Myth doesn't.

The characters in Oak don't look exactly the same as they do in Myth because they're rendered using different software (I use the Freetype2 library) and at a slightly different point size or resolution. Does anyone know what bungie used to render the original fonts?

EDIT: mirrored that image here since we probably want this thread to last

Haha, there's a sentence in Polish if you click the first link, but it doesn't make any sense to me, it's something like "To put into this boat a hedgehog or eight crates of figs." :P

BTW, yeah, that's a nice font, maybe because it just reminds me of Myth :)

If we knew how Bungie rendered their fonts, we could create new larger ones.

Also, I have a question. Does anyone know what any of the Myth 3 fonts are, especially the fonts for the main headers in the preferences and each section.

EDIT: Here are the fonts in question. Maybe someone will recognize them.

well, based on your sample image and the way I perceived it and answered the questions at identifont.com, the font is Americratika. (more likely something in the same family)

try it yourself - the questions take like 2 minutes to answer.
