Laggy 1.5

I just installed 1.5, and I'm having the same lag problems that I had in b1, before FC1.

I'm on a 700 mhz g3, imac, mac os 10.2, 512 mb ram, ATI RAGE card.

On 640x480 resolution, software mode, underwater objects turned off, I get 10 fps and it's not even controllable. The game is basically not worth playing.

Really sorry to hear that TB. Seems weird as I know others with lesser machines that it runs very smoothly on indeed. OpenGL should be faster than software mode btw.

I'm guessing you don't have classic on or anything like that? Perhaps you could drop into hl.udogs.net, or contact me via AIM and I'll see if we can resolve the problem.

Well I'll try that. I didn't use OpenGL because in previous builds it was MUCH slower than software. I'll see if that helps at all and post back sometime later in the week.

Well, in opengl my fps dropped to 4-5....so...yeah...

Sounds like the same problem I had before with the water lag running OpenGL, but in Public Beta1. I'm on an iMac 400mhz with an 8mb ATI Card.
