Jinn Conversion - not working..
I put the jinn tag file and map file into my plugins folder. I have myth 2 1.6, am running on a mac.
loaded up myth, started new game, clicked plugins, activated 2 jinn plugins, but nothing.
shouldn't i see new levels appear or something?
how do i get it to work, or in general, how do i get any conversion to work??
thanks in advance,
Brad

What version of Jinn do you have ? Old version will not work with latest patches. But no worries You can download updated ( by Phex ) version of Jinn here:

This one works with 1.6.
cheers

hold shift when you click "New Game" to show all available levels.mythreborn wrote:Hey, thx for quick reply.
yes, i dl'd that version and did what i listed in the first post...is there something that I'm missing?
For a conversion, that changes the units in the regular levels (usually marked with a delta, ∆, in the plugin list), just load the plugin and pick your level normally.
Hope that's it!

heh. That might be the ANSWER, but the topic should probably be something like "I can't see the solo levels for this map I just put in my plugins folder".Anthson wrote:We need a stuck topic: "Hold the SHIFT KEY."
Lots of Myth stuff at http://mythgraveyard.org.
Sometimes I put hard to find stuff in my my Udogs folder.

The only thing that is wrong is that the plugin maker didn't make the first map shown under New Game. It is really easy. The default Myth levels have a number in their mesh tag title like "01" and so on. Any number that has "01" like "101", "201", "301", etc show up under New Game.
Just like Willow Creek shows up first and the rest of the levels show up after you beat the one before it. So if you made a solo campaign the first level would show up and the rest would show up after you beat the first one as well.

not quite correct. myth actually stores the mesh tag IDs in one of the preferences files, and only adds them if the mesh is loaded at least once. so you'd have to edit willow creek to load your new map on successful completion and then beat willow creek to make myth load the new map, and only after that will your new map show up in the new game list - and not if you had previously beaten willow creek before you altered the success mesh.Of course another way of making a level show up would be using one of the default Myth maps. Let us say I alter Willow Creek so when you beat it, the next level is This New Map. Then it would should up as long as you had already beaten Willow Creek.

FAQs help!
An FAQ was exactly what I was looking for, when I came across this thread.Khadrelt wrote:How about just a FAQ section that answers all of these questions that get asked a lot? No need to make a sticky for every one.
Luckily, this thread had the info I was looking for.
Again...
An F.A.Q would be a GREAT idea!!
