Macintosh freezing

Post by luddelusk »

Huylo! I just now finally got done getting Myth for my new computer. It's a fairly new iMac 2,4 GHz with an IC2Duo, v.10.5.1 - Now, Myth II will only let me play for a few minutes at a time before I have to force quit and restart. I tried finding a thread where somebody had a similar problem, but failed to do so. I hope you guys can help me out!

Also: F7 ingame wont work, I think it has to do with it being bound to the rewind-button for dvds, got any tips on how to make it function ingame?

Do you have the latest build of Myth II (v1.6)?
If not, get it. http://projectmagma.net/downloads/myth2_16/

FYI, there are TWO versions of the latest Mac build of Myth II, one called 'Universal' and I forget what the other one is called. The 'Universal' version is (counter-intuitively) not a 'universal' build that works on all macs - it ONLY works on Intel based macs. The other version works on both.

If you do a PM forum search for Myth II, install and OS X you should find some recent relevant threads about installing/debugging Myth II in OS X.
Lots of Myth stuff at http://mythgraveyard.org.
Sometimes I put hard to find stuff in my my Udogs folder.
