hey guys i recently just started playing this game again as i stayed home today because i was lazy, i forgot my xbox had no controller so i went to my computer and found my myth 3 disc and started playing, i have myth II somewhere i jsut have to find it, im just wondering if there is anyway to get back online again or all the servers dead for good, i used to love this game at one point i was ranked 15 on CTF haha anywyas im just curious because i love this game and was just wonderfing if there is any way of getting online :D

Myth 2's where the action is - TFL and Myth 3 are only played occasionally when a couple of enthusiasts organise a game.

First you install Myth II, then apply the 1.6 update from this site (look in Downloads).
Then register at mariusnet (http://www.mariusnet.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=newuser), start Myth 2, go into multiplayer, type the login & password in, and you should be able to connect.

You forgot to mention one step. Switching servers.
1) Install Myth II.
2) Update to v1.6 (look in downloads in here or at thetain.net)
3) Open Myth II, click on "Multiplayer Game".
4) A window will show up, there are 3 buttons on the bottom right. Click on "Servers..." select MariusNet and hit OK.
5) Type your login and password and make any player changes you wish. Such as your primary and secondar unit colors, your player name, your team name, and your icon. This stuff and the server you selected will be saved so you won't need to redo it all next time you logon.
6) Click "Login".
7) Join games and kill stuff.

There used to be another fan-made Myth server but it went down some time ago. MariusNet is the only server right now that you can play any of the 3 Myth games. The Myth World Cup (v. 2008) is in the process of starting up (http://mwc08.com) so that will get lots of people playing for the next month or so.
